I love a “good buy”. That feeling you get when you bring something home and you know it’s exactly perfect. You’re confident it was money well spent, have no regrets and will tell everybody of your great “buy”. I also love chatting with new moms and moms-to-be. Every mom I meet reminds me of that baby stage in my own life. Milk Diva allows me to combine both those loves. I have the honour of helping new moms and moms-to-be make great decisions regarding the gear they need for their new baby. I created Milk Diva so Canadian women can be confident that they’ve made the right purchase for all their lactation needs. Every product is researched in depth to be sure it’s fabulous. I’m a Lactation Professional so I know what to look for regarding lactation gear.

I often get asked how I started selling lactation supplies. Afterall, it is a little unusual. It all started when my newborn daughter and I had a lot, and I mean a lot, of difficulties with breastfeeding. It wasn’t working well for either of us. In addition to that I was very frustrated trying to figure out what I needed, in what seemed like a whole new world. What did I know about nursing bras and breastpumps? So I did what any smart woman would do and I consulted with a private lactation professional. She was a dream and with a lot of patience and tremendous determination my infant daughter and I finally pulled it together to get breastfeeding working for us. At the same time, and with some false starts, I created a house full of the right gear and equipment for this new, unfamiliar, stage of life. The “baby” stage of life was finally the bliss it should have been from the beginning. I, immediately, started studying to become a lactation professional myself. While consulting I started selling lactation gear that my customers needed and couldn’t easily find. Eventually, I opened an online store and gave up consulting to manage the store full-time. My wish for every mom is to have a fabulous, positive breastfeeding experience.
